DEADLINES
The deadlines for adding, dropping, and withdrawing from a course are as follows:

AFTER REGISTRATION
To add or drop a class after completing registration and through the first week of class, Hopkins students must complete an official add/drop form at the Office of the Registrar. Visiting Undergraduate students must go to the Summer Programs Office. Adding a class after the second meeting requires permission from the instructor. Hopkins students do not need an adviser’s signature to add, drop, or withdraw. Students cannot add or drop by phone.
AFTER DROP DEADLINE UNTIL WITHDRAW DEADLINE
After the drop deadline and until the withdraw deadline, visiting students may withdraw only with the permission of the Summer Programs director. The course will be entered on the transcript with a notation of withdrawal (W). A withdrawal is not permitted after the withdraw deadline under any circumstances. Students who do not attend class and who do not officially withdraw receive an N for the course.
